The Emperor or Amanushi (天主) was the supreme ruler of the nation and its capital. His body was damaged during the Great War. Thus, he bought out the samurai in an act of revenge. He also created several clones of himself in an attempt to make a successor, including Ukyō. He is voiced by Takehito Koyasu in the Japanese version and voiced by Anthony Bowling in the English version.

Appearance

The emperor was a short man who wore a white and red mask with emperor robes.

History

Great War

During the Great War, the emperor was injured greatly and had to be put into a stasis chamber to keep himself alive. To get revenge on the nobuseri whom he hated, he bought them out and made them obedient to the capital's wishes. At the same time, wanting a successor who could rule over the capital with experience of living among the lower classes, the emperor made several clones of himself and sent them out into the world, watching over then. He had forcibly impregnated several women with his own DNA in order to make the clones, with one of the 50+ clones being Ukyō.
